REDNECK ACADEMY OF BIBLICAL STUDIES #1

I use the word REDNECK Academy of Biblical Studies because most liberal preachers and disciples of Satan are not using the King James Version of the Scriptures.  And they make fun of those who do and therefore we must be narrow minded fundamentalists who really and truly believe that the Word of God is indeed the Word of God to be taken literally thus we are missing a few shingles on our mental roof.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works  (ii Timothy 3:16-17).

Eighty-Four (84) times in the King James Bible the word FAMINE occurs.  Basically what the Bible is talking about when it refers to famines is the famine of food for the stomach and thousands die of starvation and go into a Christless eternity.

But there is another famine today and that is the famine of the preaching of the HOLY WORD OF GOD and also the famine of Holy Word itself.  The Bible tells us that people perish for lack of knowledge.

The New International Version (NIV which I called the spiritual HIV of the Bible) has replaced the King James Bible back in 2004.  This is truly sad and irresponsible on the part of so-called preachers of God’s Word.  A preacher should never use any of the modern perversions and they should never instruct their congregation to use them either.

HOLY KING JAMES BIBLE                               GOD

ALL OTHER UNHOLY VERSIONS                   SATAN

Let us remedy that if we can and we can if we pray and ask God to send us men who will preach the Word of God.  Let us first find out what the Bible is and what it basically is not.

Nowhere in the Bible does the word “Bible” appear.              The Bible is a Book to be:

 1.  Read

2.  Studied

3.  Obeyed

The Bible is made of 66 Books in the Old and New Testament.  It has been the most influential collection of books in human history.  Its literary and historical cannot be disputed even though it was written thousands of years ago.

Its effect on the lives of men and women in every part of society has been great and profound.  Many people have lost their lives to just own one Bible.

Today people are still giving their lives to own and read it.  The Bible should be taken literally when obviously it is literal and figuratively only if it can not be literal.  Open minded people should read the Bible for themselves to see what it really says.

It has influenced some of the greatest minds in:

1.  Art

2.  Literature

3.  Music

REDNECK BIBLE ACADEMY Lesson #2

And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation  (Acts 17:26).

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it  (Isaiah 55:11).

This academy or institute of REDNECK biblical studies are strictly for those who know basically nothing about the bible but would like to learn and preferably from someone who is not a sophisticated barbarian or intellectual cretin.

you shoUld know what you believe AND WHY.  yOUR beliefs that you practice are going to determine where you spend your eternal home.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children  (Hosea 4:6).

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy Name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity  (Matthew 7:13-23).

Many years ago, America was founded and it was founded on the Bible and God.  And America became a great country because the leaders gave God all the honor and credit as it should be.

Today the vast majority of people know nothing about the Scriptures and the liberal preachers know even less.  In fact, they know virtually nothing.  This is tragic.

The purpose of this REDNECK BIBLE ACADEMY attachment is to help educate people about what the Bible says in the only Bible that God wants people to use and that is the KING JAMES BIBLE.  All other versions are perversions and come from Sneaky Snake himself.

I am going to use many verses from the KJV to back up what I write.  As usual, I will probably ramble and even repeat myself.  But that’s OK because after all I am just a REDNECK who believes in the Word of God which is the King James Version.

By the way, my blood is RED just as your blood is red and thus your race (color of your skin) is entirely immaterial.

And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation  (Acts 17:26).

God has no use for “liberal scholars” who do not believe in the Bible.

 THE BIBLE

Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him  (Proverbs 30:5).

I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL BIBLE SCHOLAR OR PREACHER, JUST A BORN-AGAIN, BIBLE-BELIEVING FUNDAMENTALIST, REDNECK, SUPER-SAINT, ADORABLE OLD COOT CHRISTIAN WHO WAS SAVED BY FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND WHAT HE DID FOR ME ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY SO MANY HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO.  THIS WAS IN THE FALL OF 1977 AND I STILL REMEMBER THE INITITAL WORDS OF THAT PRAYER OF SALVATION AND MY NAME WAS THEN WRITTEN IN THE “LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE.”

HAD MY NAME NOT BEEN WRITTEN IN THAT BOOK, I WOULD HAVE SPENT ETERNITY FUTURE IN THE LAKE OF FIRE AFTER THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT.

LOOK AT THE VERSES BELOW AND YOU WILL NOTE THAT THERE ARE MANY BOOKS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO GO INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE BUT ONLY ONE BOOK FOR THOSE FOLKS WHO GO TO HEAVEN.  JESUS SAID THAT THE MAJORITYOF PEOPLE WOULD NOT MAKE IT TO PARADISE.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it  (Matthew 7:13-14).

And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose Face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire  (Revelation 20:11-15).

PLEASE NOTE IN REVELATION 20:13 ABOVE THAT THE WORKS OF MEN ARE JUDGED AND THE WAGES OF THOSE WORKS IS THE LAKE OF FIRE.   BUT THIS ISN’T TRUE OF THOSE WHO GO TO HEAVEN.  HEAVEN TO THEM IS A GIFT AND NO ONE WORKS HIS WAY TO HEAVEN.  PEOPLE ARE SAVED SO THAT THEY CAN WORK FOR CHRIST.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them  (Ephesians 2:8-10).

JESUS CHRIST LORD GOD ALMIGHTY SHED HIS BLOOD AS THE PERFECT SACRIFICE FOR ME ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY SO MANY HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO AND FOR YOU AND MY NAME IS NOW WRITTEN IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE WHICH WE HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED.  YOUR NAME IS IN THAT BOOK OF LIFE OR COULD BE.  THE CHOICE IS YOURS.  CHOOSE WISELY!

BEFORE YOU BEGIN READING THIS PAPER, UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ IS WHAT I CALL THE SURFACE THINGS THAT ANYONE CAN READ AND UNDERSTAND.

FOR EXAMPLE, ANYONE CAN KNOW THAT THE BIBLE HAS TWO TESTAMENTS OR THAT THE FIRST BOOK IS “GENESIS” AND THAT THE LAST BOOK IS “REVELATION”  AND SO ON.  BUT THE DEEP THINGS OF THE SCRIPTURES CAN BE UDERSTOOD ONLY BY THOSE WHO ARE BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS AND THEN IT CAN BE DIFFICULT.

IT IS ONLY THE CHRISTIAN THAT CAN GRASP THE SPIRITUAL THINGS OF THE BIBLE AS FOUND IN I CORINTHIANS 2:14.

BUT THE NATURAL MAN RECEIVETH NOT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD: FOR THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS UNTO HIM: NEITHER CAN HE KNOW THEM, BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED  (I CORINTHIANS 2:14).

The unregenerate person cannot spiritually understand the things of God for they are foolishness to him and this will continue to be the case until such time as they are saved.  The spiritually deep things and things that are not so deep are spiritually discerned only to the Christian.

The Bible is a Book to be:

 1.  Read

2.  Studied

3.  Obeyed

The Bible is made of 66 Books in the Old and New Testament.

OLD TESTAMENT         39 BOOKS    GENESIS TO MALACHI

NEW TESTAMENT         27 BOOKS    MATTHEW TO REVELATION

66 BOOKS     entire Bible – both testaments

It has be the most influential collection of books in human history.  Its literary and historical content cannot be disputed even though it was written thousands of years ago over a period of about 1600 years with 40 authors.

Its effect on the lives of men and women in every part of society has been great and profound.  Many people have lost their lives over the years in an attempt to just own one Bible.

Today people are still giving their lives to own and read it.  The Bible should be taken literally when obviously it is literal and figuratively only if it can not be literal.  An open minded person should read the Bible for oneself to see what it really says and not rely on what some one else has had to say.

The Bible has influenced some of the greatest areas of:

 1.  Art

2.  Literature

3.  Music

To be perfectly honest, there are men and women who have skepticism about the truth of the Scriptures even if they have never read it.  Isn’t it amazing that a person who has never read the Bible can reject it.

The Bible has been with us for centuries.  The first reported example of writing was in Exodus when God wrote the Ten Commandments and we can find them in Exodus 20:3-17 AND Deuteronomy 5:7-21.

We will look at them now before going any further.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

God speaks in many ways to the children of men; by conscience, by providences, by His voice, to all which we ought carefully to attend; but He never spake at any time as He spake the TEN COMMANDMENTS. This law God had given to man before; it was written in his heart; but sin so defaced it, that it was necessary to revive the knowledge of it.

The law is spiritual, and takes knowledge of the secret thoughts, desires, and dispositions of the heart. Its grand demand is love, without which outward obedience is mere hypocrisy. It requires perfect, unfailing, constant obedience; no law in the world admits disobedience to itself. Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Whether in the heart or the conduct, in thought, word, or deed, to omit or to vary any thing, is sin, and the wages of sin is death.

Nowhere in recorded secular history other than the Bible is there a record of God’s Ten Commandments.  They are a special revelation from the Lord and given and recorded and preserved for us in the Old Testament.

The Ten Commandments were given to the Israelites because they are God’s chosen people. The Ten Commandments are called the “ten words” in Hebrew and they became, in their Greek equivalent, the Decalogue—“the ten”.

The Israelites in turn became guardians of the commandments for the entire world for all time that they passed on after the ascension of Christ some 2,000 years ago.  We all live in a web of relationships dependent upon obedience to authority.

Because He is a loving parent, God sets standards for our good and to protect us from evil and harm from ourselves and others. Even though God’s command is sometimes difficult, or doesn’t make sense from our human perspective, obedience will always bring blessing, joy and peace.

The Overall Basis of the Ten Commandments Is God’s Salvation, Deliverance, and Redemption as found in Exodus 20:2-17.

The Ten Commandments were given to Moses and the Hebrew Children three months after leaving Egypt and the house of bondage of slavery.  They were there at the mountain for quite sometime and it was at Mt. Sinai that the First Written Word of God was made by God Himself to his people through Moses His servant.

These Ten Commandments were moral statutes of conduct given to the Israelites from God and were for their protection against sin so that they could live holy and fruitful lives.  These Commandments formed the basis of the Jewish life, faith, and law. The Commandments were also known as the “Law.”

Why did God give the Ten Commandments to Israel?  Was it to save them?  No, it was given that they might know how to live for Him.

God knew that man was capable of breaking every commandment that was about to be given to them.  If they weren’t capable of breaking these commandments, then they would not have been given.  It did not take long for the Israelite people to start breaking the Ten Commandments given to Moses.  Even as the Lord God was giving them to Moses the children of Israel were already breaking what they hadn’t even received yet.

Note that God Himself rescued Israel from the evil place of bondage, the land of Egypt (a symbol of the world. God gave us the Ten Commandments to save us from the evil and lawlessness of this world, evil and lawlessness.

You are about to read the two (2) sets of “Ten Commandments” recorded in Exodus 20:3-17 and Deuteronomy 5:7-21.  God wrote them on two (2) tablets of stone.

And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. – And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments  (Exodus 34:4, 27-28).

Here is summary of those Ten Commandments:

1.   Thou shalt have no other Gods before Me.

2.   Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image

3.   thou shalt not ake the name of the Lord thy God in

      vain.

4.   remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.

5.   honour thy father and thy mother that thy days

may be long upon the land which the lord thy god

      giveth thee.

6.   THOU SHALT NOT KILL.

7.   THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.

8.   THOU SHALT NOT STEAL.

9.   THOU SHAULT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY  NEIGHBOUR

10.  THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOURS HOUSE NOR   ANY THING THAT IS THY NEIGHBOURS.

NOW HERE ARE THE ACTUAL COMMANDMENTS AS FOUND IN THE OLD TESTAMENT BOOKS OF eXODUS 20:3-17 AND THEN ALSO IN dEUTERONOMY 5:7-21.

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.  Thou shalt not take the Name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.  Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.  Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:  But the seventh Day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:  For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath Day, and hallowed it. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.  Thou shalt not kill.  Thou shalt not commit adultery.  Thou shalt not steal.  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s  (Exodus 20:3-17).

Thou shalt have none other gods before Me.  Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain. Keep the Sabbath Day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labor, and do all thy work:  But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maid servant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.  And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.  Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.  Thou shalt not kill. Neither shalt thou commit adultery.  Neither shalt thou steal. Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.  Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbours wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbours house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour’s  (Deuteronomy 5:7-21).

the FIRST table

The first four of the ten commandments, commonly called the FIRST table tells US OF our duty to God.

It was fit that those four Commandments should be put first, because man had a Maker to love, before he had a neighbour to love. It cannot be expected that he should be true to his brother, who is false to his God. The First Commandment concerns the object of worship, JEHOVAH, and Him only.

Here the two sets of Ten Commandments side by side below WITH THOSE FROM Exodus in blue font and those from Deuteronomy in black font.

1ST COMMANDMENT

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

7  Thou shalt have none other gods before Me.

The First and foremost Commandment is that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the one and true God and His people are not to worship idol gods.  This is the foundational commandment which remains to this day and should always be given highest priority over everything and everyone.

Unfortunately, wicked evil men have substituted false gods in place of the One and Only Real God.  Please read Isaiah 45:5 and 46:9 where God Himself says that there is no god beside Him.

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside Me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known Me  (Isaiah 45:5).

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I Am God, and there is none like me  (Isaiah 46:9).

Also look at Deuteronomy 32:17 where people worshipped devils or “gods.”

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not  (Deuteronomy 32:17).

What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils  (I Corinthians 10:19-20).

2ND COMMANDMENT

4-6  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any     thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.

8-10  Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me,  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.

The Second Commandment is a compliment of the First Commandment.  Wicked evil pagans have long had images and idols patterned after God’s creatures and substituted those gods for the one and true God.  The worship of creatures is here forbidden. Whatever comes short of perfect love, gratitude, reverence, or worship, breaks this commandment. Whatsoever ye do, do all the glory of God.

This commandment refers to the worship we are to render to the Lord our God.  It is forbidden to make any image or picture of the Deity, in any form, or for any purpose; or to worship any creature, image, or picture. But the spiritual import of this command extends much further. All kinds of superstition are here forbidden, and the using of mere human inventions in the worship of God.

It is important to marry a person who is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and not in idols for the wives of Solomon turned his heart away from God.

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.  For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.  And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.  Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.  And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods  (I Kings 11:4-8).

3RD COMMANDMENT

7  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain  (Exodus 20:7).

11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.

Just as the First Commandment is the Foundational of the Ten Commandments, so the Third Commandment is related to it because it sets forth man’s relationship to the one and true God and His name is to be revered as sacred because it is Sacred.

The third commandment concerns the manner of worship, that it be with all possible reverence and seriousness. All false oaths are forbidden. All light appealing to God, all profane cursing, is a horrid breach of this command. It matters not whether the word of God, or sacred things, all such-like things break this commandment, and there is no profit, honour, or pleasure in them. The Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Unfortunately, today God’s name is used as a curse word or as a byword.  This would apply also to the name of Jesus.  Have you ever noticed that people don’t used Satan’s name as a curse word or using Satan’s name to curse someone.  This is a contrast and reveals the ultimate source of profaning God’s Name.

God promises to hold such persons guilty.  Jesus said that every idle word that men speak will be words that they will be accountable for.  It is a serious thing to profane the name of God

And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.  And he that blasphemeth the Name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the Name of the LORD, shall be put to death  (Leviticus 24:15-16).

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned  (Matthew 12:36-37).

4TH COMMANDMENT

8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.  Six days thou shalt labor, and do all thy work:  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.  And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

God sanctified the Seventh Day back in Genesis 2:1 and now some 2,000 years later God gives ISRAEL the Commandment to keep the Sabbath Day Holy.  God gave the Sabbath Day Commandment only to Israel in the Old Testament, not the other pagan nations.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all his work which He had made.  And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made  (Genesis 2:1-3).

The Sabbath Day was made for man and not man for the Sabbath Day.

And He (Jesus) said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath  (Mark 2:27).

It was to be a day of rest and a day for the Lord.  You should also note that employers are to give their employees a day of rest thus preventing them from being overworked.  Today we have Sunday as the day of worship, not Saturday.  But it is one day out of seven to be set apart for rest and the things of God and you pick the day.

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an   holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days  (Colossians 2:16).

Nine of the Ten Commandments are in the New Testament but the Sabbath Day Commandment is not found there because it was a ceremonial law, not a moral law.  The Sabbath Day was given to the Hebrews and Sunday was given to the Christian by implication.

One day in seven is to be kept holy. Six days are allotted to worldly business, but not so as to neglect the service of God, and the care of our souls. On those days we must do all our work, and leave none to be done on the sabbath day. Christ allowed works of necessity, charity, and piety; for the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath but all works of luxury, vanity, or self-indulgence in any form, were forbidden. Trading, paying wages, settling accounts, writing letters of business, worldly studies, trifling visits, journeys, or light conversation, are not keeping this day holy to the Lord. Sloth and indolence may be a carnal, but not a holy rest. The sabbath of the Lord should be a day of rest from worldly labour, and a rest in the service of God. The advantages from the due keeping of this holy day, were it only to the health and happiness of mankind, with the time it affords for taking care of the soul, show the excellency of this commandment. The day is blessed; men are blessed by it, and in it. The blessing and direction to keep holy are not limited to the seventh day, but are spoken of the sabbath day.

the SECOND table

The laws of the SECOND table, that is, the last six of the ten commandments, stateS our duty to ourselves and to one another, and explainS the great commandment, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Godliness and honesty must go together.

5TH COMMANDMENT

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

This is also one of the most commonly broken commandments.  This is the only commandment whereby one will live longer if one honors his parents.

The fifth commandment concerns the duties we owe to our parents. Honor thy father and thy mother, includes esteem of them, shown in our conduct; obedience to their lawful commands; come when they call you, go where they send you, do what they bid you, refrain from what they forbid you; and this, as children, cheerfully, and from a principle of love.

Also submission to their counsels and corrections. Endeavouring, in every thing, to comfort parents, and to make their old age easy; maintaining them if they need support, which our Saviour makes to be particularly intended in this commandment.  Careful observers have noted a peculiar blessing in temporal things on obedient, and the reverse on disobedient children.

6TH COMMANDMENT

13 Thou shalt not kill.

17 Thou shalt not kill.

The first murder in the Bible was in the fourth chapter of Genesis and the murderer (Cain) was cursed from the earth.  To “curse” in the Bible means to be given a negative judgment.  It does not mean a bunch of bad words like sailor or a crooked democrat would use if they lost a rigged election.

And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?  And He said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto Me from the ground.  And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;  When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth  (Genesis 4:8-12).

If God was upset about the murder of one person, think how He must feel about all these little babies who have been aborted by a hitman called a doctor

This commandment is not for the government official who carries out an medical doctor who has carried out a contract on the little one.  execution on someone sentenced to death nor is it for the soldier who kills an enemy soldier.  The death penalty was first given to Noah after the flood and the Ark had come to rest and everyone and everything had disembarked.  This was the beginning of Government and it was also the second institution created by God.

This commandment is addressed to people who kill folks in anger, hatred, or retaliation and is not commanded by the government.

And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.  Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made He man  (Genesis 9:5-6).

Thus, the sixth commandment requires that we regard the life and the safety of others as we do our own. Magistrates and their officers, and witnesses testifying the truth, do not break this command. Self-defence is lawful; but much which is not deemed murder by the laws of man, is such before God.

Furious passions, stirred up by anger or by drunkenness, are no excuse: more guilty is murder in duels, which is a horrible effect of a haughty, revengeful spirit. To tempt men to vice and crimes which shorten life, may be included. Misconduct, such as may break the heart, or shorten the lives of parents, wives, or other relatives, is a breach of this command. This command forbids all envy, malice, hatred, or anger, all provoking or insulting language. The destruction of our own lives (suicide) is here forbidden.

7TH COMMANDMENT

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery

The seventh commandment concerns chastity.  Adultery is the acts of sexual intercourse by a married person with someone who is not one’s legally married spouse and is thus a breach of the marriage vows.  Fidelity in marriage is moral perfection.   Adultery is the essence of immorality and thus a cheat.  If one will cheat on a spouse, that person will cheat on anyone.  The marriage bed is to be undefiled.

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge  (Hebrews 13:4).

Fornication is also sin because it is sexual intercourse outside of the marriage vows.  Adultery is a far worse sin because it risks destruction of the family unit which is the building block of social stability.  It risks making children fatherless and risk illegitimate children.

The seventh commandment concerns chastity as already mentioned. We should be as much afraid of that which defiles the body, as of that which destroys it. Whatever tends to pollute the imagination, or to raise the passions, falls under this law, as impure pictures, books, conversation, or any other like matters.

8TH COMMANDMENT

15 Thou shalt not steal.

18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.

Taking something that is not yours is called theft.  It is neither a long nor a short term loan without proper authority.  It is a “five-finger” discount of a small amount or of a large figure or money with a negative punishment.  In the Old Testament Book of Joshua, a man was put to death because of theft and his family was also put to death.  Stealing is both a sin against man and God.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel. – Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.  Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.  And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the Covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:  And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:  And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.  And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.  And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:  When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.  So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.  And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.  And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.  And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day  (Joshua 7:1, 12-26).

The eighth commandment is the law of love as it respects the property of others. The portion of worldly things allotted us, as far as it is obtained in an honest way, is the bread which God hath given us; for that we ought to be thankful, to be contented with it, and, in the use of lawful means, to trust Providence for the future. Imposing upon the ignorance, easiness, or necessity of others, and many other things, break God’s law, though scarcely blamed in society. Plunderers of kingdoms though above human justice, will be included in this sentence.

Defrauding the public, contracting debts without prospect of paying them, or evading payment of just debts, extravagance, all living upon charity when not needful, all squeezing the poor in their wages; these, and such things, break this command; which requires industry, frugality, and content, and to do to others, about worldly property, as we would they should do to us.

9TH COMMANDMENT

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Don’t lie or gossip about anyone for everyone is your neighbor.  The 8th Commandment is against dishonest of deeds and the 9th Commandment is against honest of words.  Do not lie to another about another and do not commit a lie in a court of law because it is called perjury and hell awaits such a person.  It is called an abomination.  To commit perjury thus is a liar and the person making the lie is a child of the devil.

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine  (I Timothy 1:10).

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies  (John 8:44).

The ninth commandment concerns our own and our neighbour’s good name. This forbids speaking falsely on any matter, lying, equivocating, and any way devising or designing to deceive our neighbour. Speaking unjustly against our neighbour, to hurt his reputation. Bearing false witness against him, or in common conversation slandering, backbiting, and tale-bearing; making what is done amiss, worse than it is, and in any way endeavouring to raise our reputation upon the ruin of our neighbour’s. How much this command is every day broken among persons of all ranks!

10TH COMMANDMENT

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

This 10th and last commandment entails the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh.  Covetousness is a form of idolatry.  The tenth commandment strikes at the root; Thou shalt not covet. The others forbid all desire of doing what will be an injury to our neighbour; this forbids all wrong desire of having what will gratify ourselves.

Covetousness is greed and can be a desire for someone’s money, property, and even another person’s spouse or all of the foregoing.  People who covet cast aside integrity, honesty, or virtue to obtain that which they seek after.  It is usually a secret sin and usually known only to God Himself.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry  (Colossians 3:5).

THE OLD TESTAMENT

Only the king james version of the bible will be used UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.

IT IS MY OPINION THAT ONLY THE KING JAMES VERSION IS THE TRUE VERSION.  AND YOU, OF COURSE, HAVE THE RIGHT TO YOUR CHOICE OF BIBLES.  IT IS ALSO MY OPINION THAT All other versions of the holy scriptures have an occult base going back to 1881 AND THUS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED HOLY BUT RATHER UNHOLY BIBLES.

The Old Testament teaches us:

  1. What God expects of man
  2. The various ways in which man can respond to God
  3. How God treats nations
  4. What God expects from nations
  5. How the nations in the Old Testament reacted to God

The books of the Bible did not happen chronologically as they are presented in our Old Testament (OT) sequentially from Genesis to Malachi table of contents.  For example, Ruth takes place during the period of the Judges.  The Major and Minor Prophets takes place in the era of the various Monarchs covered by the Books of Kings.

The history of Jewish people extends from Abraham thru the time when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem and is contained in the Books of Law and History.

With the exception of Malachi and Job, the 5 Books of Poetry and Philosophy are contained in the same historical time of the Books of the Law and History.  Malachi was written after the time of Nehemiah and the events of Job may be equal to or precede the time of Abraham.

The Books of Law and History were written for the purpose of presenting the historical aspects of God’s program for Israel, Judah, and the Gentile nations.  Men guided by the Holy Spirit wrote and these men were looking back into time past as historians.  On the other hand, on-site observers wrote the 17 books of the prophets by 16 prophets.  Jeremiah wrote Lamentations as well as Jeremiah.

The BIBLE TELLS US THAT PEOPLE PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.  THE BIBLE ALSO INSTRUCTS US THAT WE ARE TO STUDY TO SHOW OURSELVES APPROVED UNTO GOD.  IF WE STUDY AS COMMANDED, WE WILL HAVE THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE TO KEEP FROM BEING DESTROYED FOR ETERNITY.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children  (Hosea 4:6).

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth  (II Timothy 2:15).

  1. 1.    We are to study THE BIBLE, not just read it.  STUDYING THE BIBLE IS NOT AN OPTION BUT A COMMAND.
  2. 2.    We are to study to show ourselves approved unto god, not the preacher, the sunday school teacher or the deacons OR ANY ONE OTHER THAN GOD.
  3. 3.    WE ARE TO STUDY IN A WORKMAN LIKE MANNER, NOT JUST READING THE BIBLE SO THAT WE CAN GIVE AN ANSWER TO THE PEOPLE THAT ASK US QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR FAITH SO THAT WE ARE NOT ASHAMED WHEN A PERSON ASKS US QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES.  THE WORD “SCRIPTURES” IS ANOTHER NAME FOR THE BIBLE.
  4. 4.    IF WE CAN RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD, THEN WE CAN ALSO WRONGLY DIVIDE IT.  THERE ARE MANY EXAMPLES THAT I COULD GIVE YOU ABOUT DIVIDING THE WORD OF THE LORD.
  5. 5.    HERE ARE JUST TWO MODERN DAY CULTS WHO ARE EXAMPLES OF WRONGLY DIVIDING THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD.

THE BIBLE

The complete Holy Bible as we know it has been with mankind for about 2,000 years or 20 centuries.  It took up to 1,500 – 1,600 years for God’s 40 Holy Men to write those 66 books.  When you look down to a page way below, you will notice that I have listed 29 + NAMES because I do not know the names of those missing people nor can I find them.  So I could be off on them.

Many people down through the ages have read the Bible totally at one time from cover to cover and some have just read parts of the Bible.  Unfortunately, many other people also have a Bible but don’t ever open it.  They simply have a Bible in their home to impress others.

The Bible also is called the “Book.”

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book  (Revelation 22:18-19).

The Bible is both divine and human and covers the great fields of knowledge such as law, history, philosophy, ethics and prophecy.  All these subjects come together and are bound up in one “Book.”

Bible history takes us back to the end of the First Eternity which is that part of eternity before the beginning of time when God created the heaven and the earth.

Then as it progresses, the Bible takes us from the beginning of everything as recorded in Genesis 1:1 through to the end of time of about 7,000 years which including the final 1,000 years called the upcoming millennium and then the beginning of eternity as recorded in Revelation 22:21.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth  (Genesis 1:1).

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen  (Revelation 22:21).

The Old Testament is the foundation of the Bible and the New Testament is the superstructure.

FOUNDATION OF THE BIBLE:                   OLD TESTAMENT

SUPERSTRUCTURE OF THE BIBLE:           NEW TESTAMENT

Thus, we can rightly surmise that the Bible is a progressive revelation and points to the second coming of Christ and the end of recorded time and the beginning of eternity future.

LAW                                The five books of Moses of Genesis through Deuteronomy.

HISTORY                        The twelve books of Joshua through Esther.

PHILOSOPHY                 The five books of Poetry and Philosophy of Job

& POETRY                      through the Song of Solomon

PROPHECY           The 17 books from Isaiah through Malachi of

which five are considered Major Books ON

PROPHECY and 12 Minor Books ON Prophecy.

The first five books on prophecy are

major and the remaining twelve are minor.

Had man not sinned in the Garden of Eden some six thousands years ago, then man would have passed God’s test of obedience and there would be no need for the Scriptures for the Bible tells us about Jesus and the way of salvation.

But man did sin and thus we need a Saviour today, yesterday, tomorrow, and every day until the Lord returns to give us the gift of eternal salvation in heaven.  And the message that God would have us know is in the Holy Bible and that Saviour is Jesus Christ Lord God Almighty.

Please notice that Savior is not Savior but Saviour.  You must add the “u” after “o.”  SAVIOR becomes SAVIOUR.  That is the only correct spelling.

In fact, the message of the Bible is the message of the Lord Jesus Christ Lord God Almighty Who said in that He was and is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me  (John 14:6).

But man did sin and man needs a Saviour to receive that gift of eternal salvation.  All man need do is accept and his name will be recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

The Bible is divided into two parts which are the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The O.T. has 39 Books and the N.T. has 27 Books for a total of 66 books.  The Bible was written over 1,600 years ago by about 40 different authors (we have mentioned this earlier) who were all male as mentioned above.

These men came from many different professions such as kings, philosophers, prophets, poets, uneducated fishermen, and princes.  God can use anyone who is willing to be the servant of God.

While it is true that no women wrote any of the books of the Bible, nevertheless, there are two books and ONLY two books in the Old Testament named after women and they are Ruth and Esther and there are none in the New Testament.

Ruth was a gentile from Moab who married a Jew named Boaz from Israel and they were ancestors of Christ.

Esther was a Jew who married a gentile named Ahasuerus.

God doesn’t concern Himself with one’s social, professional, political, or economic status when it came to writing the Bible.  God can use anyone who will be obedient and submissive to Him.

We see in the New Testament Book of II Peter that God used Holy Men to actually write the Bible as He guided them.  Some were well educated and some were not very learned at all.

Knowing this first, that no Pprophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the Prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but Holy Men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost  (II Peter 1:20-21).

For example, Peter was an uneducated fisherman and the Apostle Paul was a highly learned man and also a tent maker who wrote many (14) of the New Testament books.  Notice that the man who works for the Lord is a productive worker doing honest labor whether it is mental or physical.  God does not care what you do for a living as long as it is an honest living in His eyes.

The Bible is the Number One Selling Book in the world and unfortunately the New International Version or the NIV (which I call the HIV) of all the unholy bibles is now in first place in sales and has been for several years.

The Bible is hated by Satan’s people and if they can’t get rid of it, then they will make new versions which are filled with lies and half truths.  The Bible has gone around the world and is in every country in the world.  Such can’t be said about any other book.

There were no women authors.  These men were especially selected by the Lord.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost  (II Peter 1:21).

Only two Books in the Bible are named after women and they are in the Old Testament Historical Books of Esther and Ruth, none in the New Testament.  Ruth was a gentile who married a Jew and Esther was a Jew who married a gentile.

LAW   Genesis – Deuteronomy to govern every phase of Israel’s life.

CIRCUMCISION was the initial rite of the Jewish religion.

PAUL was the New Testament equivalent of Moses for he delivered the Christian from the LAW.  He went from a murderer to a preacher.

JUSTIFICATION is that act whereby God forgives our sin and gives us the righteousness of Christ and justified us without justifying our sin.  We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ, not works.  Christ died in our place as our perfect sacrifice for sins.

FAITH not works that puts us into the family of God.  Grace is a favor that we don’t deserve.  Salvation is the gift of God.  Faith is the channel of salvation and is the hand that receives the gift and connects man with God.

FIRST CHURCH was founded in Europe.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  (Ephesians 2:8-10)

RELIGION Religious people accept a creed or observe certain ceremonies or attend certain places of public worship all of which are totally worthless as far as salvation is concerned.  That does not save you but Christ does.  Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission  (Hebrews 9:22).

CHRIST took upon Himself the form of a:

1.  Man

2.  Servant

JESUS as man died on the Cross but Christ as God never died.

BORN AGAIN

Jesus was and is saviour for He came into the world to save the souls of those that want to be saved and who wanted to go to heaven.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His Name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins  (Matthew 1:21).

SAVIOUR IS ALWAYS CORRECTLY SPELLED (S A V I O U R) with a “u,” NOT (S A V I O R).  To the best of my limited knowledge, the King James Version of the Holy Bible is the only version to correctly spell the word “SAVIOUR.”  The one exception that I found was in the unholy Roman Catholic bible The Douay-Rheims Bible and that has 63 verses and as usual their bible is way off.

Nowhere in the King James Bible will you find the word “SAVIOR.”   It is always spelled “SAVIOUR” with the “U.”

Below are two verses where the word SAVIOUR is correctly spelled – the first verse in II Samuel and the last verse is in Jude 1:25.  For what it may be worth, there are 13 verses in the Old Testament and 24 verses in the New Testament for a total of 37 verses where the word Saviour is used.

The God of my rock; in Him will I trust: He is my shield, and the horn of my Salvation, my High Tower, and my Refuge, my Saviour; thou savest me from violence  (II Samuel 22:3).

To the only wise God our savioUr, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen  (Jude 1:25).

Once a person is born physically, he or she exists forever either in heaven or in the flames of hell after physical death and awaits the Judgment for the “unsaved” at the Great White Throne.  At the rapture, the saved receives his or her physical body which is then joined to the immortal soul and spirit.  By the way, to perish does not mean to go out of existence.

Physical death means the physical separation of the physical body from the immortal soul and spirit.  The body will return to dust because it was originally made out of the earth.  But the immortal soul and spirit live on forever.

If a person is saved spiritually after being “born again” and then die physically, they go into heaven to await the rapture where and when they get their new immortal physical body.  Anyone who is spiritually saved is obviously spiritually “born again.”

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory  (I Corinthians 15:51-52).

The spiritually endowed physical body is now new and immortal and will never be separated from God for it has become totally immortal in every sense of the word.  Notice in the verse above in I Corinthians 15:51 that the dead are going to be raised and the mortal body is made immortal.  The body may go into the ground and return to dust but if God can make a body out of dust, then He can certainly recreate that body which is now dust.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul  (Genesis 2:7).

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return  (Genesis 3:19).

The Bible tells in Revelation that those who are dead and who are going to go into the Lake of Fire were raised after the 1,000 year millennium to experience an eternal Second Death which is an eternal separation from God.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt  (Daniel 12:2).

How many times can a person die?  Remember that death is not the cessation of existence, it is separation from God.  The Second Death is permanent separation from God in body, soul, and spirit but that body, soul, and spirit, is still in existence.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years  (Revelation 20:6).

BORN AGAIN

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto Him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.  Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, How can these things be?  Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up:  That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life  (John 3:1-16).

The New Spiritual Birth is similar to the physical birth.  Those who are born physically have physical parents called a mother and a father.  Those who are born spiritually have a Father Who is God Almighty. The physical birth may take quite awhile but the spiritual birth happens instantaneously or at once.  To put it differently, the spiritual birth does not happen over a few hours like the physical birth might.

By receiving Christ as our Savior, we are born of God.

The Spirit of God comes into our human spirit to regenerate it, enliven it, with the life of God. This is to be born again. First we are physically born of our parents, and then we are born spiritually of God.

The first birth gives us the opportunity to have the second birth. The first birth produces us as a dirty vessel; the second birth cleanses us and fills us with the divine and eternal life of God. The first birth destines us to die; the second birth results in life eternal. In the first birth we are cursed, but in the second we are blessed, not with material riches but with God.

A born-again Christian, therefore, is a person who has made his beginning, receiving Christ as his new life in his spirit. Every genuine Christian is a born-again Christian, and once a person has been born again he can never lose this divine life within him. As he continues by living as a Christ-man, his thoughts, his speech, and his deeds become those which are out from Christ, in Christ, for Christ, and expressing Christ.

There are other terms referring

 to the spiritual birth:

BORN OF THE SPIRIT

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. –  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit  (John 3:3, 5,  6-8).

BORN OF GOD

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God  (I John 3:9).

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God  (I John 4:7).

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. –  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. – We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not  (I John 1:1, 4, 18).

NEW CREATURE

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new  (II Corinthians 5:17).

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature  (Galatians 6:15).

WASHING OF REGENERATION

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost  (Titus 3:5).

NEW MAN

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness  (Ephesians 4:24).

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds  (Colossians 3:9).

THE MEANS OF THE NEW BIRTH

This new spiritual life is received by trusting Christ to be one’s Saviour from

from sin.  ‘SAVIOUR is spelled with a “u” never just “ Savior.”

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name  (John 1:12).

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life  (John 3:7-16).

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth Him that begat loveth Him also that is begotten of Him  (I John 5:1).

People are born again hearing and believing the Gospel of Christ.

THE GOSPEL

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures  (I Corinthians 15:1-4).

CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS                             DEATH                                                                   CHRIST WAS BURIED                                         BURIAL                                                                        CHRIST ROSE AGAIN                                          RESURRECTION

For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel  (I Corinthians 4:15).

Of His own will begat He us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures  (James 1:18).

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever  (I Peter 1:23).

THE SOURCE OF THE NEW BIRTH

It is the Holy Spirit Who imparts this New Birth.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost  (Titus 3:5).

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God  (I Corinthians 6:11).

THE RESULT OF THE NEW BIRTH

Those who are born again have eternal inheritance and are preserved by God.  Their lives, also, are completely changed by the power of the indwelling Spirit.

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,  Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead  (I Peter 3-5).

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new  (II Corinthians 5:17).

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death   (I John 3:14).

THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God  (Ephesians 6:11-17).

These spiritual weapons are used to stand against the deceptive onslaught of the evil one.

And he must have the whole armour.   To be wanting in one piece exposes us to Satan on that side.  ALL the armour MUST BE PRESENT, not just some.

The armour must be that of God-divine in its nature. Human armour will not ward off the attacks of Satan; confidence in that armour will engage us in the battle only to make us fall in combat with a spirit who is more mighty and more crafty than we are.  To resist enemies like Satan and his demons we need the armour of God.

The Christian armour is made to be worn; and there is no putting off our armour till we have done our warfare, and finished our course. The combat is not against human enemies, nor against our own corrupt nature only; we have to do with an enemy who has a thousand ways of beguiling unstable souls. The devils assault us in the things that belong to our souls, and labour to deface the heavenly image in our hearts. We must resolve by God’s grace, not to yield to Satan. Resist him, and he will flee. If we give way, he will get ground. If we distrust either our cause, or our Leader, or our armour, we give him advantage.

The different parts of the armour of heavy-armed soldiers, who had to sustain the fiercest assaults of the enemy, are here described. There is none for the back; nothing to defend those who turn back in the Christian warfare and run like a liberal democrat from Massachusetts who just lost a rigged election.

Truth, or sincerity, is the girdle. This girds on all the other pieces of our armour, and is first mentioned. There can be no religion without sincerity.

The righteousness of Christ, imputed to us, is a breastplate against the arrows of Divine wrath. The righteousness of Christ implanted in us, fortifies the heart against the attacks of Satan.

Resolution must be as greaves, or armour to our legs; and to stand their ground or to march forward in rugged paths, the feet must be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Motives to obedience, amidst trials, must be drawn from a clear knowledge of the gospel.

Faith is all in all in an hour of temptation. Faith, as relying on unseen objects, receiving Christ and the benefits of redemption, and so deriving grace from him, is like a shield, a defence every way. The devil is the wicked one. Violent temptations, by which the soul is set on fire of hell, are darts Satan shoots at us. Also, hard thoughts of God, and as to ourselves. Faith applying the word of God and the grace of Christ, quenches the darts of temptation.

Salvation must be our helmet. A good hope of salvation, a Scriptural expectation of victory, will purify the soul, and keep it from being defiled by Satan.

To the Christian armed for defense in battle, the apostle recommends only one weapon of attack; but it is enough, the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. It subdues and mortifies evil desires and blasphemous thoughts as they rise within; and answers unbelief and error as they assault from without. A single text, well understood, and rightly applied, at once destroys a temptation or an objection, and subdues the most formidable adversary.

Let’s do it again.

[11]  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Put on the whole armour of God — The word means a complete suit of armour. Believers are said to put on the girdle, breastplate, shoes; to take the shield of faith, and sword of the Spirit.

The whole armour — As if the armour would scarce do, it must be the whole armour. This is repeated because of the strength and subtilty of our adversaries, and because of an “evil day” of sore trial being at hand.

[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

For our wrestling is not only, not chiefly, against flesh and blood – Weak men, or fleshly appetites.  But against principalities, against powers — The mighty princes of all the infernal legions. And great is their power, and that likewise of those legions whom they command.

Against the rulers of the world — Perhaps these principalities and powers remain mostly in the citadel of their kingdom of darkness. But there are other evil spirits who range abroad, to whom the provinces of the world are committed.

Of the darkness — This is chiefly spiritual darkness.

Of this age — Which prevails during the present state of things.

Against wicked spirits — Who continually oppose faith, love, holiness, either by force or fraud; and labour to infuse unbelief, pride, idolatry malice, envy, anger, hatred.

In heavenly places — Which were once their abode, and which they still aspire to, as far as they are permitted.

[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

In the evil day The war is perpetual; but the fight is one day less, another more, violent. The evil day is either at the approach of death, or in life; may be longer or shorter and admits of numberless varieties.

And having done all, to stand That ye may still keep on your armour, still stand upon your guard, still watch and pray; and thus ye will be enabled to endure unto the end, and stand with joy before the face of the Son of Man.

[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Having your loins girt about with truth That ye may be ready for every motion.  And having on the breastplate of righteousness.  The righteousness of a spotless purity, in which Christ will present us faultless before God, through the merit of his own blood. No armour for the back is mentioned.

We are always to face our enemies.  WE DO NOT RUN FROM THE ENEMIES OF GOD BUT STAND UP AGAINST THEM.

 [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel — Let this be always ready to direct and confirm you in every step. This part of the armour, for the feet, is needful, considering what a journey we have to go; what a race to run. Our feet must be so shod, that our footsteps slip not. By this only can we tread the rough ways, surmount our difficulties, and hold out to the end.

[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Above or over all – As a sort of universal covering to every other part of the armour itself, continually exercise a strong and lively faith. This you may use as a shield, which will quench all the fiery darts, the furious temptations, violent and sudden injections of the devil.

[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

And take for an helmet the hope of salvation — The head is that part which is most carefully to be defended. One stroke here may prove fatal. The armour for this is the hope of salvation. The lowest degree of this hope is a confidence that God will work the whole work of faith in us; the highest is a full assurance of future glory, added to the experimental knowledge of pardoning love. Armed with this helmet, the hope of the joy set before him, Christ “endured the cross, and despised the shame,”

And the sword of the Spirit, the word of God — This Satan cannot withstand, when it is edged and wielded by faith. Till now our armour has been only defensive. But we are to attack Satan, as well as secure ourselves; the shield in one hand, and the sword in the other. Whoever fights with the powers of hell will need both. He that is covered with armour from head to foot, and neglects this, will be foiled after all. This whole description shows us how great a thing it is to be a Christian. The want of any one thing makes him incomplete. Though he has his loins girt with truth, righteousness for a breastplate, his feet shod with the preparation of the gospel, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit; yet one thing he wants after all. What is that? It follows,

When Christ returns at the Battle of Armageddon, He will return on a huge beautiful white stallion and He will defeat the armies of Satan with the SWORD which is The Word of God.  You should also know that the Word of God is Jesus Christ.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.   His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God  (Revelation 19:11-15).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. –  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth  (John 1:1-3, 14).

Additional scripture

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ  (II Corinthians 10:3-5).

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation  (I Thessalonians 5:8).

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses  (I Timothy 6:12).

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ  (II Timothy 2:3).

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith  (4:7).
